Barack Obama, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Illinois, just passed through the media center, and a small flock of reporters quickly gathered around him. His smart-sounding, laid-back, natural charisma lives up to the hype.

A reporter asked what his speech will be about tonight. "I'm not speaking tonight. There's some other guy, what's his name... oh, yeah, Bill Clinton," Obama said with a wink.

When he was asked whether he would talk about his personal history in his speech, Obama responded, "People are going to be wondering, 'how did this skinny guy with the funny name get on the stage?' If I don't explain it, they'll get confused."
