SADDLE UP, PAJAMAHADEEN!
Dan Rather and John Roberts just ignored everything that has been revealed about the memos in the past few days, and these two truth-whacking goons had the guts (and that's not the word I want to use) to claim, "Laura Bush became the first White House insider to doubt the authenticity of the documents. But she offered no evidence to back up her claim."
I sit here, typing slackjawed at their audacity.
UPDATE: While this latest batch of propoganda was running, ABC News' The Note is reporting:
CBS EXPERTS SAY THEIR CONCERNS WERE IGNORED, ABC News' Brian Ross reports...
EMILY WILL TO ABC: "I did not feel that they wanted to investigate it very deeply."
LINDA JAMES TO ABC: "I did not authenticate anything and I don't want it to be misunderstood that I did."
GUARD COMMANDER USED BY CBS tells Ross he feels misled in his conversations with CBS...
No mention of Killian's secretary telling the Dallas Morning News that she didn't type the memos. She's no fan of Bush, by the way.
UPDATE: Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post is on DC-area CBS now, saying he cannot understand why CBS is not more open to the idea that these memos are forged.
Mr. Rather, I don't think you won anybody over with tonight's brazen attempt to dismiss the criticism.
