elissa Seckora is an editorial associate for National Review, where she covers national politics, culture, and the arts. She writes a regular art column for National Review Online. Miss Seckora grew up in Michigan and graduated with a degree in political philosophy and German from James Madison College at Michigan State University in 1997.

Before joining National Review, she was deputy lawyers division director of the Federalist Society for Law & Public Policy Studies, responsible for overseeing the society's publications and programs in several areas of the law. Besides National Review and NRO, her work has appeared in The Weekly Standard, New York Post, and Pittsburgh Tribune Review. She has appeared on CNN, Fox News Channel, and National Public Radio. She is a recipient of a 2002 Lincoln Fellowship from the Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy.

Miss Seckora lives in Washington, D.C.
